In January 2011 there was to be a garage sale
on the property where I live.

I suddenly remembered the song I had written
about all the "stuff" we cling to or that clings to us.

I ran in the house (euphemism for run down little shack) to record the song, then outside again to made cardboard props, then begged and borrowed costumes, chairs and nautical paraphernalia and asked friends to show up dressed in colorful costumes of some imaginary townsfolk.
I was surprised when a crowd actually arrived the following Sunday. (one boy came as a super hero but what the heck right?) Confronted by a sea of expectant faces it hit me like a freakin' wave that I had
no plan for the day's shooting! Richard broke my dumbfounded stupor
by whispering "Mo, they all want to know what to do!" "Righty oh then." And somehow a stream of instruction like it was preplanned issued forth and we built scene after scene till the sun went down. What a hilarious and wonderful day it turned out to be. Such creative and amazing friends I have!
